General
- There are no character limits, but I will urge you to quit a character or two if you aren't keeping up with them.
- As of right now, no hybrids can be joined or brought back. If you wish to bring a hybrid back, you must change the breed.
- Dogs age on the season they are joined.
- Seasons last two real-life weeks.
- At each season change, Jacquie will post Bonuses & Losses that every canine must respond to/play out. More details are on the Information page.
- Dogs are mature enough to fight, breed, and own territory at the age of two.
- Dogs are considered elders and lose those abilities at the age of twelve.
- Angeni does have a point system which is explained here.
- Spirit Animals are currently played by Jacquie until auditions are held for them.

Common Life
- Most social interactions take place on the river, where any canine, regardless of Spirit Animal, can go to socialize with others.
- Breeding and fighting also occur on the river.
- Stealing is not allowed in this game unless there is a demand for it/it is required for a plot.

Fighting
- Before a canine can challenge another canine to a fight, they must consult their Spirit Animal. If said canine is a Cynic, they can start a challenge whenever.
- A challenge must have CHALLENGE and the canine's name in the subject.
- Terms of the challenge must be clearly outlined in your first post.
- Also, in your first post, you must set the stage. You can either battle right along the side of the river, or inside it. Please clearly note this.
- Challenges consist of 5 posts per dog. The first post does not have an attack, nor does the last.
- If one canine does not reply within 48 hours of the last post, he or she forfeits the battle.
- Challenges are based on a scale of 50 per post. 20 points for realism in your post, 20 points for creativity, and 10 points for spelling/grammar.
- Realism takes into account how possible your attack, defense, and any other movement would be in real life. To get full points, if you're in the river, you have to fight the current. If you're on dry land, you have to avoid small holes and rocks and the like.
- Creativity means how creative your post is (quality) along with how creative your attacks are. To get full points, try to different places of attack that are still realistic, and make sure you post is a good, quality post (length does not equal quality).
- Spelling and grammar... Well that's kind of self explanatory. Feel free to ask someone on the Chatango if you're not sure about a grammar rule, and use dictionary.com for spelling.
- After a challenge takes place, neither dog involved can be challenged for a week.

Breeding
- Breeding occurs in Winter and birthing occurs in Spring. Both happen on the river.
- Litter stats from Jacquie will only have the number of pups, the number of runts, the number of stillborn pups (unless you are a bear/used your points for a no runts or stillborns litter), gender of each pup, his or her initial health, and his or her Spirit Animal.
- If the two parents have different Spirit Animals, I will flip a coin for each pup. Heads, the pup gets the father's Spirit, tails, the pup gets the mother's Spirit.
- If after receiving your litter stats from Jacquie you would like one extra pup, reply to the stats playing out the birth. Jacquie will then post the extra pup's stats.
- It is suggested that two dogs who want a healthy litter to get a home and become officially mated by the Spirit Animals. More details are on the Information page.
